Smooth Floors
Vinyl is a hard wearing plastic type floor that is almost indestructible in domestic locations. It will take all the water you get on it from bathing, washing and cooking. It will take almost any wear except very hot contact, very sharp wear (i.e. stilletto heels) and uneven floors (which will press through).
Rhinofloor was the most well known brand which has sadly demised. Brands that may be well known and still available include Tarkett, Gerflor and Leolan (available in our Cheltenham shop).
Sub floor preparation is usually required. This means concrete floors which need screeding and floorboards which need hardboarding. Both these services are done by us and our salesman will advise as to necessity.
More expensive and harder wearing than vinyl sheet, famous brands include Amtico and Karndean. Whilst we have done both through the shop our current offering is from the Polyflor range which represents exceptional value for money in comparison.
